I hope you’ve all been having a wonderful Passover with family and/or friends.

If you are thinking about attending the IAJGS conference in Seattle, August 7-12, 2016, now is the time to take advantage of discounted early registration pricing. There is only one more week to go.

The IAJGS 2016 conference schedule is now online. It includes a huge variety of presentations, daily Special Interest Group luncheons, and many evening activities. There will also be an exhibit hall with numerous vendors with services and wares to help you reach your genealogical goals.

Through April 30, 2016 (11:59 PM,  Pacific Daylight Time), one may register online for the full conference for the discounted price of $315 (not including special events, such as luncheons and the banquet). From May 1 through July 24, online registration will be $30 more. If one waits to register onsite during the conference, expect to pay $370 for full attendance.

Another advantage of early registration is lower fees for Live! Live! provides video/audio access to more than 50 select presentations from the conference. If one registers for Live! when registering early for the conference, the fee is only $79.

My favorite conference purchase is always the audio and slide package. I listen to genealogy podcasts on my iPod when I walk the dog each morning – a great way to fit in additional genealogy training while exercising. With the IAJGS audio and slide package, one may load the audio onto one’s mobile devise, listen to talks one missed during the conference and listen to those one wishes to hear again. Nearly all conference presentations will be included with the audio and slide package. Through April 30th, purchase of the audio & slides package is $149 with registration.
