IAJGS 2016 Speaker Profile: Carol Hoffman

Carol Hoffman was born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA and moved to Israel more than 40 years ago. Her expertise is in computers and information science.

Carol has been a lecturer at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem and University of Haifa and directed an academic regional library.

After retirement she became a full-time volunteer in genealogy societies, the archive of the Association of Lithuanian Jews in Israel, and the library of the Tel Aviv Art Museum. Today, she serves as President of LitvakSIG and Secretary of the Israel Genealogy Research Association (IGRA).

The Wandering Jew documents and follows Jewish Migration between the 18th and 21th Centuries from Kopcheve (Kapciamiestis), Lithuania to England, South Africa, Canada, United States, Brazil, China, Russia, Australia and Israel.
