“One Family, Three Journeys” (Fri-115), 8:30 A.M.-9:45 P.M.

At the turn of the last century, David Laskin’s family divided into three branches — one came to the US and went into business (founding the Maidenform Bra Company); one branch went to Palestine as idealistic Zionist pioneers and helped found the State of Israel; the third branch remained in Europe and perished in the Holocaust. The talk/slide show will trace how David researched the three branches, starting as a genealogical neophyte, and wove their story into a compelling narrative.
